For those of you lost in the world of our “recovery economy”, oil spills, and cheap thrills, I’ll bet most have already forgotten that day the earth stood still; Obama/Biden in 2008…
Light a candle and pour your favorite adult beverage, sit back and reminisce on that claim for “hope and change”, “transparency” (YouTube) or the promise for the most “ethical congress in history”. Those were the days of milk and honey, campaign speeches and money.
As the state run liberal media streams stories of “crazed sex poodles”, the “success” of government “stimulus”, and immigration “reform” at a numbed population, a tale much more insidious has been exposed (or should I say resurrected) by Megyn Kelly of The Fox News Channel.
With all the progressive “transformation” imposed by the new “regime” in D.C., I’m sure the majority of economically and politically depressed “working families” have forgotten all about; “Black Panthers and White Devils”. Think back if you can to a report from 1221 Fairmount inPhiladelphia,Pa, late November 2008. As millions of ill informed voters pulled the lever for the least qualified presidential candidate in the history of this country, an example of what “community organizers” do was on full display that day.
Several representatives of the “Black Panthers” stood outside a Philly polling station, in full garb (YouTube); one with a “Billy club” in hand. On the eve of the first African American president to ever hold the “White” house, this is what we get? After decades of guilt, affirmative action, and retribution, the Black Panthers intimidating white voters?
Flash forward to year one in office, well after President Obama nominated Eric Holder as the 82nd Attorney General of the United States on February 3, 2009. Also an African American, he was presented with the case claiming “voter intimidation” by the “Black Panthers” soon thereafter. The case was actually filed in January prior to his appointment. Yet none of the defendants showed up for court or filed papers, they just ignored the charges. Since they failed to respond or defend themselves, it was by law considered a “default judgment”, meaning only a “punishment” is left to be determined. Yet, remarkably, on May 15, 2009, no penalty was imposed on the defendants. The case for the 3 “Black Panthers” was then completely dismissed, compliments of the Department of “Justice”.
In late June of 2010, Megyn Kelly interviewed former Department of Justice attorney, J. Chistian Adams for a nationally televised 2-part interview on the Fox News Network. According to Mr. Adams, the “Black Panthers” accused on that day also elicited racial epithets that would put any patriotic “Tea-bagger” to shame:
Well, they said, “You’re about to be ruled by the black man, Cracker”. They called people “white devils”. They menaced, they tapped their baton. They tried to stop people from entering the polls. – J. Christian Adams, U.S. Dept. of Justice ATTY
No mention from the mainstream media on those obvious racists’ comments, not a peep; until 18 months later and only on Fox. Yet hold a “Tea Party” protest, and it’s reported that crosses were burned and that the “N” word was used like a rap artist at every turn.
If that’s not bad enough, Mr. Adams’ claims that “reverse discrimination” is condoned by the Department Of Justice, and that the Obama administration has failed miserably on several campaign promises. From the actual interview transcript:
KELLY: You have said that after the dismissal of the New Black Panther’s case that a mandate was issued that no more of these cases brought against black defendants would be brought. Is that the case?
ADAMS: That’s what I just said. Look, this is an administration that campaigned on transparency. They campaigned on restoring integrity to the Justice Department and they also claim they’re going to be post-racial. On all three of those they flunked the test on the Black Panther dismissal. None of these things came through.
How this can be justified is beyond me, yet it’s actually not uncommon for the party of “tolerance”. The Democrats’ acceptance of racism was evident once again regarding the recently deceased Senator Robert Byrd, a former member of the KKK. Michelle Malkin wrote a great column way back in 2001 about “liberal” tolerance for racism:
“The ex-Klansman, you see, is a Democrat. Democrats can join hate groups and utter the ugliest racial slurs and get away with it because they are Democrats. They belong to the party of racial tolerance and understanding. They’re paragons of virtue, and the rest of us are bigoted rubes.” – Michelle Malkin, 3/8/2001
William Jefferson Clinton, a pillar of morality and justice himself, eulogized Senator “KKK” Byrd at his funeral (Breitbart) claiming he had a “fleeting association with the clan”, because he was a “good country boy trying to get elected”, and that there are no “perfect people”. Well gosh darn Bill, sounds like a great case for “term limits” to me…
The president and his “regime” have professed; “Never let a good crisis go to waste.” Seems they like to create crisis as well. In the words of the great patriot Thomas Paine(USHistory.Org), a man that knew real crisis:
“These are the times that try men’s souls” – The Crisis, Thomas Paine, December 23, 1776
