Making $ or making a difference?

As most Americans trade “hours for dollars” at some type of “J.O.B.” (just over broke), those evil and greedy rich “fat cats” continue to be demonized.  From the “lame” stream media to those self-serving career politicians, passing the “buck” and blaming the achievers appears to be the strategy of the day…

So I assume that those bashing the rich have E.S.P. and can attest to whats in the hearts and minds of those money mongers they so despise.  I’m no Donald Trump, but even when I made good money from a job that made me miserable, I desired only to make a difference…

In fact, I walked away from a house on a golf course and a career position with an international medical device company in pursuit of “making a difference”.  Sure my family and friends thought me a fool, after years in school and posing like I was cool.  But you will never know until you experience the hollow feeling of making money with no purpose attached…

Speaking of “The Donald”, I often hear him berated as well, for simply voicing his opinion, and building an empire.  I will bet my golf clubs that if any class warfare card carrying liberal spent time with him they would have a different view. Sure, he makes millions, owns real estate, and hosts a top rated prime time TV show, “The Apprentice“.  But he creates more jobs and charitable donations than any government stimulus to date.  John Rich, (the “Celebrity Apprentice” winner in 2011), earned $1.4 million through his appearance on the show for his charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.Regardless of how the money is made, if you have no desire to make a difference in the lives of others, you should be ashamed.  Not everyone can have such an impact, but just because they are successful, why are they so attacked?

I just don’t understand why its OK for every working American to demand a raise, or union members expect pensions from cradle to grave.  If you really think those accused of not paying their “fair share” aren’t of significance, then you have no clue about making a difference….
