Democrats and disposable income
From the moment politics captured my attention, and I began my “career” as a “social commentator”, there is one topic that continues to befuddle my Conservative brain. Now I understand that Liberalism is certainly a “mental disorder”, as evidenced by the great American Michael Savage. Yet if there is one symptom that identifies those on the left as truly sick, it’s what they intend to do with our disposable income.
How a rational human being can conclude that federal agencies are more proficient, efficient, or capable of spending the money WE earn, is beyond my comprehension. They trash the rich, Wall Street, and “big corporations”, as they tax and spend us into oblivion. I just don’t get it folks, and no elitist Democrat, or Chicago community organizer will ever convince me otherwise.
Case in point is the “Bush tax cuts” that will expire this January. Even the left leaning leaders in Congress agree that raising taxes when the economy is still reeling from all that “hope and change” might not be so wise. Of course, the evil rich that “don’t need tax cuts” should still be whacked (Time), since they are the root cause of all that ailsAmerica. A classic example of a demented ideology trapped in the European socialist model of class warfare.
According to the bureaucrats in the Obama administration, they can spend our money much better than the wealthy achievers that create most of the jobs in this nation. That is unless you work for Washington, one of the few areas of the economy experiencing any growth at all from billions in “stimulus”…
President Obama is presiding over the largest federal work force in decades. In the current fiscal year, the number of civilian workers will grow by 153,000, to 1.43 million. These are the only jobs Mr. Obama can legitimately claim to have created. Unfortunately, they are subsidized by deficit spending.
I presume that most taxpaying Americans are working too hard to keep just enough of what they earn to pay the bills, and have forgotten how inefficient government is at spending our money. It simply can’t be debated, no matter how well you can read a teleprompter, most all big federal programs are in the “red”, including the biggest red herring of them all; Social Security…
Social Security will pay out more this year than it gets in payroll taxes, marking the first time since the program will be in the red since it was overhauled in 1983, according to the annual authoritative report released Thursday by the program’s actuary.
A little known fact for those of you so enamored by federal fixes for every problem turning our once great economy into a highly regulated “banana republic”; government produces nothing, nada, zip. The next time your local liberal loony neighbor tries to educate you on the “benefits” of “Obamanomics” or bashes “trickle down” supply side economics, ask them what exactly government does.
Government exists only by the taxes we pay, they collect from the working class, and redistribute to wherever and whomever they so chose. The government builds nothing, and the jobs they “create” must be “paid for” from the taxes of the real working Americans. Oh, and by the way, the average public employee earns almost twice as much as those in the private sector (USA Today).
Yet perhaps the most incoherent comment to ever be uttered by a Democrat public servant, indicates how incompetent and out of touch they are; “How will we PAY for these tax cuts?” “Pay”, for a reduction in our taxes, as in how will the government replace the “lost” income? Gosh, I don’t know, how about cutting the obscene salaries of the unskilled, unproductive state and federal employees, failed government programs, agencies, regulations, or lifetime pensions…
I challenge each and every Democrat supporter out there in Liberal Laa-Laa Land to answer this honestly. Back your answer up with facts, not Kool-Aid induced talking points and utopian theory. Whom, my deluded fellow Americans, can spend their hard earned disposable income better, the bloated layers of the federal government, or you? Yes, even those evil greedy rich “fat cats” that just so happen to create most of the real jobs in this country, let them keep more of what they earn, and I guarantee, they beat the Feds like a drum.
It seems that the Democrats view our “disposable income” as something they not only have a right, but claim to have secret knowledge as how to use it more effectively. The only “secret” is that they are about to be “disposed of” come November, and I can tell you what I would do with them, but it has nothing to do with income…
